The HVAC technician field has been seeing a steady increase for the past few years and is showing no signs of slowing down. Actually, it’s predicted to be a 21% increase by the early 2020s.
Tools You Need
You’ll encounter jobs that need quite a variety of tools — being prepared makes your job a lot easier.
- Pipe cutters
- Tape measures
- Monitoring instruments
You’ll also need to be familiar with a few job-specific tools as well, including carbon monoxide detector meters and hand seamers.
Some states require only an HVAC Technician Certification while others only require job training. Find a community college that offers the certification course.
