How to Naturally Remove Bathroom Odors

Posted on May 22nd, 2015 by Jupiter Tequesta

Hosting a Memorial Day barbecue or party? Your bathroom’s about to get a lot of traffic. If you’re concerned about less-than-pleasant smells coming from your toilet, sink or shower, keep reading below.

Here are a few ways to naturally remove bathroom odors:

Reinvent the plug-in. Store-bought plug-in air fresheners are filled with chemicals which can pollute the air and irritate your respiratory system. Dump out the toxins, and clean and dry the bulb. Then, refill it with water and a few drops of your favorite essential oil.

How to Naturally Remove Bathroom Odors

Keep odors in the toilet. Green lifestyle blogger Crunchy Betty suggests dropping eucalyptus essential oil into your toilet before using it. When you flush, any foul smells will go down the drain, and you’ll be left with the refreshing scent of eucalyptus!

Create a simmer scent pot. Bringing water and aromatic herbs to a boil and allowing it to simmer can freshen your whole house! Create one specifically for the bathroom by simmering aromatics in a small bowl or cup of water over a candle-fueled diffuser.

Taking one or more of these steps will naturally remove bathroom odors and keep your guests happy! All of us at Jupiter-Tequesta air Conditioning, Plumbing & Electric wish you a happy Memorial Day.
