4 Florida Towns You Need To Visit
With summer around the corner, it’s time to start planning some fun, weekend road trips. But Florida’s a big state, with a multitude to see and do, so where do you begin? Here are four places you need to visit before the summer season is up!
Fort Myers – Fort Myers is beautiful overall, but we suggest heading to the historic district. It’s quaint, and lined with bars, galleries, and plenty of delicious restaurants. This town is also home to Thomas Edison and Henry Ford’s winter homes, which is definitely worth the visit!
St. Augustine – In case you missed this piece of information in history class, St. Augustine is the oldest city in America. It was founded by the Spanish in 1565, so you can imagine all the history there is to explore. Make sure to check out the Castillo, the city gate, and the oldest wooden schoolhouse in America!
Destin – Destin is the quintessential beach town of Florida. There are plenty of beaches to lounge at and boardwalks to stroll on. One of our favorite spots? Crab Island. The water is waist deep and floating vendors with food and drinks cater to your every need. Relaxation at its finest!
Delray Beach – Delray Beach in Palm Beach County was dubbed the Most Fun Small Town in America by USA Today. There’s plenty to do and see downtown, including art galleries, restaurants and bars, and fun water activities.
