Prepare Your HVAC System For Fall
In our area, autumn is more of a state of mind than a season. With temperatures nearing 90 degrees almost daily, we won’t be turning off our air conditioners any time soon. Still, it’s important that you take a few simple steps to get your HVAC system ready for the change of seasons.
Inspect your HVAC unit. Make sure it’s working properly and look for pieces that might need replacing. It’s imperative that your equipment is working as efficiently as possible. Otherwise, you’ll just end up wasting your hard-earned money on inflated energy bills.
Change the filter. After a long, hot summer, your air conditioner’s filter is probably filthy. If you can clean it, do so with soap and warm water. If not, then head to your local home improvement store and ask for help finding a suitable replacement.
Prepare your furnace. Head-producing appliances are probably the last thing on your mind right now. But the best time to get your furnace ready is when it’s still warm outside. Fail to care for your furnace now and you risk getting you and your family stuck without heat once winter approaches.
Summer’s not over yet, but it’s important to think ahead! Winter will be here before you know it, so start prepping your HVAC system now. Don’t hesitate to reach out to Jupiter-Tequesta Air Conditioning, Plumbing & Electric for assistance:
