Outdoor Lighting Checklist

electrician tequesta flIs landscaping lighting on your spring maintenance checklist?  Now is the perfect time to get your backyard landscape lighting ready for spring and summer parties.  It will help keep your yard illuminated, guests safe, and serve to highlight the beauty of your home.  Not sure where to begin?  This outdoor lighting checklist will help you get started.

Outdoor Lighting Checklist:

Start with a Plan – First and foremost, you’ll want to put together a plan.  Where will you be planting your spring garden?  Will you be putting outdoor furniture by the pool?  Think about the different aspects of your yard and where you will need lighting.

Safety – Make sure that the pathway to your pool is well illuminated.  This will help keep your family and friends safe on late nights.  Install outdoor lighting along your sidewalk, near your door, and around your entertainment area.

Accent Lighting – Are there any features of your backyard that you want to highlight?  Consider adding accent lighting around your plants and any water features in your yard.

Pool Lighting – Pool lighting has both aesthetic and practical functions.  If you plan on going for a night swim, pool lighting illuminates your pool.  It can also highlight a beautiful aspect of your yard!
