Your toilet is more important than you might think! This essential home fixture plays an important role in sanitation and overall health. However, did you know that 1 in 3 people still don’t have access to a clean and safe toilet? Each year on November 19th, the UN works to draw attention to the world sanitation crisis.

This year, the theme for World Toilet Day is: Toilets and Jobs.

At Jupiter-Tequesta Air Conditioning, Plumbing and Electric, we know first hand how plumbing can create a strong economy, while improving health and protecting people’s safety.

Did You Know:

  • 2.4 billion people in the world live without improved sanitation.
  • 1 in 10 people do not have access to a toilet at all.
  • Diarrhea caused by poor sanitation and unsafe water kills 315,000 children each year.
  • Loss of productivity due to sanitation-related illnesses costs countries up to 5% of their GDP!
  • 17% of workplace deaths are due to poor sanitation and hygiene practices.

Today, we are reminded of the important role our toilets play in our lives and what we can do to improve sanitation on a global scale. If you do run into any problems with your toilet’s plumbing, don’t hesitate to reach out to our technicians here at Jupiter-Tequesta Air Conditioning, Plumbing & Electric.
