4 Ways To Cool Your Outdoor Labor Day Party

Posted on August 31st, 2017 by Jupiter Tequesta

If you’re hosting this year’s Labor Day weekend festivities, it’s your job to ensure that your party guests are happy at all times. That can’t happen if they’re sweaty, sticky, and uncomfortable. Here are four ways to create a cool environment for your guests this weekend.

 1. Throw some shade

It’s important to make sure you have plenty of shade for your party. After hours in the sun, your guests are going to need a break from the the strong UV rays. If applicable, invest in some outdoor patio umbrellas. But, you can also use a bed sheet as a canopy for a DIY option instead!

 2. Set up a hydration station

Outdoor gatherings may typically be centered around grilling, but they also focus on adult beverages as well. However, this usually make your guests more dehydrated. Encourage your party-goers to stay hydrated by setting up an area filled with water and sliced lemons, limes, oranges, or cucumbers.

 3. Keep guests out of the outdoor kitchen.

Make sure you have an inviting seating area away from your grill. This way, you can warn your guests when you’re about to start cooking and they can mingle away from the heat.

 4. Place portable outdoor fans.

Portable fans are affordable, flexible, and can be easily stored during the off-season. Move the fan around your backyard as needed.

Having a room inside your home to cool down is another great option for your party.
